Travelbridges is the first Worldbridges site to go online. It is designed as a place for people to
publish and enjoy creative works inspired by travel. It will also provide a variety of useful resources
and information for travelers.
We use the latest webcasting technologies to present a variety of multimedia materials created
by travelers. These include writings, photo essays, narrated slide shows, and videos. These will
periodically be compiled into books, cd-rom's, and videotapes. We are also in the process of creating
an extensive network of self-posting discussion boards which will provide travelers with the latest
information from the road.
As part of the Worldbridges network, we rely on the participation of computer jockeys and creative
souls like you to help this site grow. It also means that we are dedicated to providing the fairest
possible compensation to those who do the work of building this site (i.e. website section managers
and content producers).
How does all this work?
When Travelbridges puts your material online, we send you a dated confirmation letter
acknowledging you as the copyright owner of that material. If we use that material in any of our
products, you will share in the profits it generates.
As this site grows, we will need people to help manage various sections. If you are a computer
jockey who helps manage and/or an editor who helps sort through and compile the contents of a
portion of this site (i.e. travelbridges.com/thailand or travelbridges.com/diving) you will receive a
significant portion of the advertising revenue generated by that portion of the site.
If your thinking, "Hey, that sounds like a really radical, potentially complicated, but kinda cool way
to run a company", you are right. For more information about our system of profit distribution, visit the
Worldbridges Policy Page or read the fine print below. To find out how to submit materials or
apply for a website management position, visit the Travelbridges Contact Page. |
